Check-in kiosk

Passengers can check-in using Alaska Airlines self-check-in kiosks, located at all of the airports throughout the Alaska Airlines system.  

 

With carry-on baggage only: This facility is available on the calendar day of departure until 40 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Similar to Online check-in, you can purchase First Class upgrades, change your seat assignment, and print travel receipts using self-check-in kiosks. Once your boarding pass gets printed, you can head straight to the gate.

 

With checked baggage: Passengers can pay for checked baggage at a check-in kiosk up to 4 hours prior to your flights' scheduled departure time. Once your boarding pass gets printed, you can proceed to the baggage-check location.

 

Ticket Counter Check-In

When you're inside the terminal and traveling with a paper ticket, you can visit any of the Alaska Airlines airport check-in counters. Airport check-in opens four hours prior to scheduled flight departure time and generally closes forty (40) minutes before the scheduled departure time. The checked baggage is only accepted within 4 hours of your scheduled flight departure time. The minimum check-in time at Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Philadelphia is 45 minutes, and at international locations it is 60 minutes. For Guadalajara and Mexico, the minimum check-in time is 90 minutes.

It is a free service on Alaska Airlines flights that gives passengers access to movies and TV shows that can be watched on the passengers' own personal device. You can choose from over 400 free movies and browse over 200 free TV shows in Alaska's entertainment library. To enjoy the unlimited inflight entertainment, all you need to do is download the Gogo Entertainment app on your own device before flying with Alaska Airlines. Besides, some Airbus aircraft features a seatback entertainment system, including hundreds of movies and TV shows.

 

Alaska Airlines Inflight Entertainment Tablet

On most coast-to-coast and Hawaii flights, Alaska Airlines also offer inflight entertainment tablet on rent. Inflight entertainment tablet is always free for First Class and for MVP Gold 75Ks, but Main Cabin passengers can use this service on rent. Each entertainment tablet is pre-loaded with the latest movies you'll find onboard, plus TV shows, music, and games. Alaska Airlines inflight entertainment tablet facility is available for passengers on all flights to and from Hawaii, and flights to and from Fort Lauderdale, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Orlando, Tampa and Washington D.C. Renting an inflight entertainment tablet costs you $10 each way.

 

Free texting

As you soar through the clouds, you can continue the conversation you started on the ground with Alaska Airlines' free inflight texting facility. This service is free of cost for all class customers and only works with iMessage, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp. Just download the apps to your phone before your flight and pick up your conversation where you left off. 

 

Alaska Inflight Internet and Satellite Wi-Fi

When you fly with Alaska Airlines, staying connected is simple as most of Alaska Airlines flights have either inflight internet or satellite Wi-Fi. Alaska Airlines' inflight Wi-Fi is available on all flights over North America, except flights to Mexico, Hawaii, and Costa Rica. Alaska Q400 planes also do not have internet service. Alaska Airlines flights are in the process of upgrading to the Gogo 2Ku satellite Wi-Fi service, which will be 20x faster than the standard air-to-ground system. Alaska Airlines inflight internet service isn't free and costs you $7 for one hour or $19 for the whole flight journey. You can also take a Wi-Fi monthly subscription plan for $49.95 only.

Main Cabin food and drinks

Alaska Airlines offers a wide variety of in-flight food and beverages to tempt your taste buds. However, Main Cabin meal choices available for purchase will vary depending on trip length. Main Cabin passengers will get complimentary non-alcoholic drinks such as soda, juice, coffee, and tea. Alcoholic beverages such as cocktails, wine, and beer are available for purchase. Breakfast is served on flights departing between 6 am, and 10 am with a flight duration over 3 hours while lunch and dinner are served on flights over 3 hours, leaving between 10 am and 8 pm.
